O'HARA'S MONDAY COUNTDOWN: Filling needs the 2015 Draft theme

The prevailing theme of the Lions’ draft is obvious. It was mostly about filling needs, primarily on the offensive line and in the running game.

They drafted guard Laken Tomlinson of Duke in the first round and offensive tackle Corey Robinson of South Carolina with their last pick in the seventh round. In between, they drafted running back Ameer Abdullah of Nebraska in the second round and fullback Mike Burton of Rutgers in the fifth.

Also, a trade with Denver exchanged slots in the first round and gave Detroit former Lion Manny Ramirez, who was a primary starter at guard and center the last three seasons for the Broncos.
