Based on history and early evaluations of positions where the Detroit Lions have primary needs – defensive line and running back topping the list – a good prospect should be available for the Lions with the 20th pick in the first round of this year’s draft.
But there’s a catch. Looking back at the last 10 drafts, teams haven’t always made the right choice with the 20th pick. Sometimes a better player was on the board than the one that was taken at No. 20.
Even with the value of hindsight being 20-20, looking back to evaluate who got it right, wrong or broke even at No.
