It isn’t position polls, fantasy rankings or labels that Matthew Stafford should look at to consider where he stands in the pass-fail grading system that judges NFL quarterbacks.
And he doesn’t.
Those are all fun fodder for offseason debates, but the won-loss record is the single category that separates quarterbacks in the pecking order.
If the Lions are going to make a move upward and improve on last season’s 7-9 record, Stafford must lead the way. And no one understands that more than he does.
