MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. -- Michael Roberts gave the Detroit Lions an early lead on the road against the AFC East-leading Dolphins. That's a huge play. And he wasn't even close to being done yet.
Roberts caught touchdown passes of 15 and 4 yards, plus tacked on a 29-yarder that led to a third score in Detroit's 32-21 win Sunday against Miami.
Now this is the Michael Roberts Detroit expected to see this season.
"I honestly feel like I'm finally turning a corner," the second-year tight end said.
Roberts flashed so much upside as a rookie last year, people in Allen Park were wondering whether he'd be ready to start in Year 2.
