It was a big week for the Big Cats from Ford Field. The Detroit Lions re-stocked the Den with a brand new litter of Lion cubs to groom into fierce football eating monsters. Zoo keeper/General Manager Martin Mayhew got high marks from pundits for his draft after filling nearly every need the team had going in.
Mayhew’s signature move in the 2015 draft was the first-round trade that bagged both veteran guard Manny Ramirez and Duke guard Laken (don’t call me Lincoln) Tomlinson. The move shored up the offensive line in the middle while getting a superbowl veteran to help guide the young line in its development.
