Golden Tate, who led the Lions in receptions each of the last two seasons, got off to a slow start this year with 14 catches for just 95 yards through Detroit’s first four games.
The last game of that slow stretch was in Chicago Week 4, where Tate recorded just one catch for one yard in a 17-14 Lions loss that dropped their record to 1-3 on the year.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford and Tate weren’t on the same page late in the first half of that contest, which led to an interception, and a visibly upset Stafford.
