No position is a better example of the improved depth on this Detroit Lions defense than at defensive tackle.
Haloti Ngata, A’Shawn Robinson, Tyrunn Walker, Stefan Charles and Khyri Thornton have all played key roles at points this season.
Ngata, healthy in his second season in Detroit, has been a load in the middle. Robinson and Walker lead the group with 21 tackles. Robinson also has two sacks and six pass deflections.
Thornton’s recorded 13 tackles, a sack and a forced fumble. Charles has double-digit tackle totals with 11, and made that crucial fourth-and-goal stop against the Rams earlier this season.
