While the defensive tackle position, and how the Lions will handle the loss of Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and others has gotten a lot of the headlines, one area of the defense that hasn’t been talked about as much is the nickel cornerback spot.
Injuries decimated the position last year and the Lions had to kind of piece together the spot with players signed off the street, and by converting Cassius Vaughn, who had never played inside before, into the role.
Fast-forward one year and the Lions now have an experienced veteran in Josh Wilson at the spot.
