The Detroit Lions are off today, and I’m sure they are enjoying the break. After a tough loss on Thanksgiving, the Lions have a had a few days to not only digest the loss (and a load of tryptophan), but rest their bodies for next week’s crucial game in Baltimore.
We, as fans, probably needed the break, too. After having been treated to four straight years of happy Thanksgivings, it was quite a blow to the system to watch the Lions see their division titles evaporate in front of a national audience.
But there’s still a lot of football to be played, and try as the doubters might, we will not pivot to the offseason with six more weeks of regular season football to be played.
