Where do the Detroit Lions' offensive skill players rank in the NFL when it comes to their age? Let's take a look.
As mentioned on Monday, the Detroit Lions are going into the 2015 season with the second-youngest projected starting offensive line in the entire NFL. But what about the rest of the offense? Luckily for us, PhillyVoice's Jimmy Kempski has put together age rankings for all of the offensive skill positions. This gives us an opportunity to see how old, or young, the rest of the Lions' offense is. Take a look (the higher the ranking, the older the player is by his position's standards):
QB Matthew Stafford: 20th (27 years old)
RB Joique Bell: 7th (28 years old)
WR Calvin Johnson: 18th (29 years old)
WR Golden Tate: 44th (26 years old)
WR Jeremy Ross: 38th (27 years old)
TE Brandon Pettigrew: 9th (30 years old)
Three main things jump out to me.
