DETROIT -- The Detroit Lions have not made a decision whether to place star linebacker DeAndre Levy on injured reserve after hip surgery, and on Sunday, Levy might have given one reason why.
“We’re not mathematically out of it yet, are we,” Levy said. “Ultimately, it’s not my decision either way. I’m doing everything I can do to get healthy regardless of what the decision is.”
Levy said he figures there would be conversations about what to do if the 1-6 Lions were mathematically eliminated from the postseason and he was still sidelined by the hip, but he added that a lot could be determined by the next few weeks with his recovery.
