DETROIT -- Jim Bob Cooter said that "it's not a sustainable strategy to play one guy every single snap at running back."
Three days later, the Detroit Lions nearly did.
Zach Zenner earned a second straight start for the injured Ameer Abdullah and Theo Riddick, and this time, the Lions didn't sideline him in the second half. In fact, he barely came out at all.
He played all but two of the 66 offensive snaps in Detroit's 31-24 loss Sunday night against Green Bay, and got every running back snap. And that doesn't even account for his workload on special teams, where he played an additional four snaps.
