Multiple Detroit Lions rookies taken in UFL Draft

The United Football League (UFL) held its 2024 college draft on Wednesday, with 80 players selected by their eight teams over 10 rounds. Amongst the players selected were two undrafted free agent rookies currently on the Detroit Lions roster: wide receiver Isaiah Williams (Illinois) and edge rusher Isaac Ukwu (Mississippi).

Ukwu was selected by the Michigan Panthers in the third round, while Williams was drafted by the defending champion Birmingham Stallions in the fourth round.

In order to be eligible for the UFL draft, a player must have also been eligible for the NFL Draft (meaning at least three years removed from high school with no college eligibility remaining, either due to expiration or waiving), and then go undrafted through the NFL process.
