Lance Moore wasn't particularly keen on traveling to London for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs even before the Detroit Lions fell to 1-6 and shuffled their coaching staff.
"I've done it once," Moore said last week. "I wouldn't have been mad if I didn't have to do it again."
But Moore, who played in the second game of the NFL's International Series with the New Orleans Saints in 2008, said the precursor to the league's London experiment — NFL Europe — helped foster the 10-year career he has enjoyed to date.
Moore played briefly with the Berlin Thunder in 2006, after a rookie season with the Saints in which he did not appear in a game.
