It’s hard to be optimistic about a team after they’re outclassed by another team on a given week. When it happens two weeks in a row, it’s hard to see any light amongst the darkness.
The Detroit Lions have been on the butt-end of a beatdown in two consecutive games, and halfway through the season, it looks like any hope for the postseason is already gone. The defense is still giving up big plays, and the offense looks clueless right now.
If there’s a reason to feel optimistic about this team right now, I’m not seeing it after two lifeless performances against NFC contenders.
