The Detroit Lions lost their ninth game of the season, and by now, there’s a pretty good chance you’re numb to it. For the past few weeks, the story has been the same: a defense that looks formidable, but an offense that is completely anemic and incapable of making the necessary plays in the fourth quarter.
Of course, this one probably hurt a little more for the optimistic tight. Had Detroit won, their playoffs hopes would still be (barely) alive, but instead, the Lions are officially out of the postseason for the second straight season.
Losing to a 4-9 team like the Buffalo Bills should never feel good, and while some may celebrate the temporary rise in the draft order, this game can’t be a good sign for the future of the franchise.
