According to several reports from local media, Detroit Lions safety Miles Killebrew will not play this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons due to a “personal issue.” Reporters were sure to clarify that Killebrew has not tested positive for COVID-19. This is something unrelated.
Killebrew’s absence won’t cause too much of a change for Detroit’s defense this week, as Killebrew has only taken snaps on special teams. However, Killebrew is a key player in that unit, playing in all four phases of special teams (kick and punt coverage, kick and punt returns).
