Detroit native Mike Posner will perform at halftime of the Detroit Lions' Thanksgiving game against the Chicago Bears next week, the team announced Thursday.
Posner is the latest in a string of local acts the Lions have showcased during their annual Thanksgiving game.
In 2016, Aretha Franklin sang the national anthem before the game, and in 2015 Detroit artist Big Sean — a close friend of Posner — was the halftime act.
Posner, born in Detroit and raised in Southfield, helped pen hits for artists such as Justin Bieber (“Boyfriend”) and Maroon 5 (“Sugar”) before embarking on a solo career.
