Midseason Review: Lions QB Matthew Stafford having average season

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions have hit the midway point of the season and, for the third straight year, they also have their off week coinciding right in the middle of the year.

With that being the case, we’ll be giving a midseason review of each position group throughout this week – coaching, too – starting with the quarterbacks. In the reviews, we’ll look at the good, the bad, a second half outlook and a positional grade for the half-season.

WHAT’S GOOD:

Matthew Stafford is still playing, so that’s a start -- and that isn’t even a facetious comment considering how much he’s been hit by opposing defenses over the first half of the 2015 season.
