The Michigan Panthers' first game of the 2022 USFL season was delayed by nearly an hour due to a weather delay.
When it eventually started, it seemed as if somebody forgot to tell Jeff Fisher's team, as Michigan looked like a team in an up-start football league in its first game of the season.
A sloppy first half — each of the team's first six possessions saw either a fumble or an interception — was too much to overcome.
Michigan made a push in the second half and largely dominated the time of possession, but after falling on the wrong side of too many momentum-changing plays early, the Panthers dropped the season opener to the Houston Gamblers, 17-12.
