Allen Park — Lions coaches and scouts have pored over the roster in recent weeks, closely analyzing all the players to see which 53 guys would make it to the regular season and what areas need improvement in advance of Week 1.
After several meetings and discussions, the Lions on Saturday settled on their initial roster to start the season, and general manager Martin Mayhew is optimistic about the outlook for 2015.
“I like this football team,” he said Monday. “I like the work ethic of this football team; I like the camaraderie. These guys get along very well.
