WATFORD, England – The Detroit Lions are 1-6 and currently sit at the bottom of the NFC North standings, but Lions general manager Martin Mayhew hasn’t given up on the season.
With the trade deadline looming Nov. 3, Mayhew said he’s more interested in being a buyer than a seller.
“We’ve had some dialogue already about some guys around the league, so we’re actively looking at those situations,” Mayhew said.
But why be buyers instead of sellers at this point? Mayhew said he’s trying to win football games and he needs some quality football players to help make that happen.
