Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford left the team’s Week 14 game against the Green Bay Packers in the fourth quarter with a rib injury.
He suffered the injury on a play near the goal line, where he was hit from behind while sliding on a quarterback scramble. Stafford initially went to the locker room, before quickly returning to the sideline. He was replaced by back up Chase Daniel on the ensuing offensive possession.
Stafford left the game with 244 passing yards and a touchdown on 34 attempts.
The offense got a boost on their next drive when returner Jamal Agnew took the kick off into Packers territory, setting up a short field for Daniel and the offense.
