Matthew Stafford less than 150 yards from Archie Manning on passing list

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Matthew Stafford is on pace for his worst season, yardage-wise, of his career. Even with a less-than-average game Sunday against Green Bay, he could pass a member of one of the biggest families in football on the NFL’s career passing list.

Stafford has thrown for 23,797 career yards and is 115 yards away from passing Manning family patriarch Archie Manning for No. 76 on the NFL’s career passing list. Manning threw for 23,911 yards from 1971 to 1984.

Also in Stafford’s range Sunday could be Steve Beuerlein (24,046 yards), Steve Bartkowski (24,124) and former Lions quarterback Daunte Culpepper (24,153).
