ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Ellen DeGeneres gave $500,000 along with Lowe's to renovate the Spain Elementary-Middle School gymnasium in Detroit recently and on Friday's show, they revealed the gym to the teachers and students at the school.
And as an added surprise during a taped segment for her show Friday, Matthew Stafford and Golden Tate gave the elementary and middle school tickets to Sunday's home opener against the Tennessee Titans to help celebrate the new gymnasium.
They also gave DeGeneres a Lions jersey with "Ellen" on the back and the No. 1.
"That's gonna bring out your eyes even more," Tate said on the show.
