ALLEN PARK -- Matthew Stafford welcomed his third child into the world last Thursday, one day before he'd play in a preseason game.
The Lions quarterback's wife announced the event Sunday on Instagram:
Stafford had twin daughters born a little over a year ago, which were his first kids at the time.
The couple's newest addition came Thursday, though the timing isn't clear. Stafford participated in the walkthrough practice with the Giants that morning and then made his preseason debut the next night against those same Giants, when he finished 2 for 5 for 51 yards in the 30-17 loss.
