The Detroit Lions have two new faces behind center as quarterback Matthew Stafford’s potential back backup and coach Matt Patricia outlined what he’s expecting from them.
This offseason, the Lions signed former Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook and veteran Tom Savage.
“Obviously it’s all about competition and they’re all kind of in the same boat, which is kind of nice from that perspective,” Patricia said Tuesday shortly before the Lions kicked off organized team activities. “They’re all in there kind of learning the same thing for the first time. So all of them have a different degree of familiarity with that sort of offensive system.
