ALLEN PARK -- Everyone works hard in the NFL. You won't survive if you don't. But Lions coach Matt Patricia takes it to some absurd levels.
In fact, when he was an assistant in New England, he would often sleep in his office to save time on the commute. He began doing it so often, his wife bought him a mattress for the office.
"That was about 10 years ago," he said. "I'm good now. I've actually got a nice little Tempur-Pedic roll-out little mattress, which is good."
As it turns out, he's even worse after a loss.
