The Detroit Lions survived their first scare of the 2018 training camp season.
Saturday morning, wide receiver Marvin Jones Jr. went down on the field after colliding with cornerback DeShawn Shead on a deep pass. Jones stayed down on the ground for a while, and sat out the remaining portion of practice.
But on Sunday, when the team took the field for their first padded practice, Jones was right out there with them, practicing in full beside his teammates.
“He’s good, he’s fine,” head coach Matt Patricia said before Sunday’s practice.
