Martin and Riddick get contract extensions

The Detroit Lions have agreed to multiyear contract extensions with two more members of their vaunted 2013 NFL draft class, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.

The Lions and punter Sam Martin are in the process of finalizing a four-year extension that will keep him in Detroit through the 2020 season. The deal should be completed later today.

Martin's extension is worth $13.6 million total with another $1 million available in incentives, according to the NFL Network, which first reported the news. At an average of $3.4 million per year, Martin is tied with the Carolina Panthers' Andy Lee as the third-highest-paid punter in the NFL.
