Martha Ford donates $1 million to Red Cross for Hurricane Harvey relief

This week, multiple Detroit Lions players and coaches have been in worry over relatives caught in or near the wrath of Hurricane Harvey as it has flooded the streets of Houston. Now, Detroit's owner is doing something to help out.

Martha Ford and her family have donated $1 million to the Red Cross in order to aid with relief efforts for the storm, the team announced Thursday.

Relief is in strong demand for a storm that topped 47 inches in rainfall and has claimed more than 30 lives, the New York Times reported. It's one that Texas Governor Greg Abbott has labeled "one of the largest disasters America has ever faced.
