Detroit Lions owner Martha Firestone Ford addressed the media last Thursday after she decided to relieve team president Tom Lewand and general manager Martin Mayhew of their duties.
On Monday, she addressed her team. Ford spoke at the 2 p.m. team meeting. She introduced interim general manager Sheldon White, interim COO Allison Maki and spoke about her expectations for the team moving forward.
Players said she spoke passionately and was very direct with her expectations.
“I think that means a lot,” safety Glover Quin said of Ford addressing the team at Monday's meeting.
