Looks like Johnny Manziel will ride the bench in the CFL

It could be a while before Johnny Manziel flashes that "money" sign north of the border.

That's because the former Heisman Trophy winner -- who signed his Canadian Football League contract last week -- appears to be just a backup QB for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats.

Coach June Jones sounds committed to Jeremiah Masoli for the entire 2018 season.

"Until something creates for me to take him out of there, I would say he'll be our starter for the whole year, hopefully, and win the Grey Cup," Jones told ESPN.

As for the Manziel, the CFL contract means a two-year commitment to the Tiger-Cats, which puts an NFL comeback on hold for now.
