Prater's FG gives Lions late 32-17 lead
The Lions padded their lead with 3:07 left in the fourth quarter, on a 34-yard field goal from Matt Prater. The Lions appeared to have a first-and-goal at the one-yard-line, on a pass from Matthew Stafford to Calvin Johnson, but San Francisco coach Jim Tomsula challenged the catch. The call was overturned, giving the Lions a third-and-20, which they did not convert.
Lions add to lead, go up 29-17
Midway through the fourth quarter, the Lions added to their lead. After a pass interference call against San Francisco gave Detroit a first-and-goal at the one-yard-line, quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson connected for the one-yard touchdown.
