Prater adds to lead, Lions ahead 23-17
Early in the third quarter, the Lions offense was rolling. Quarterback Matthew Stafford orchestrated an 11-play, 64 yard drive -- including a pair of completions to Calvin Johnson. However, a false start on Detroit turned a fourth-and-two at the San Francisco 14-yard-line to a fourth-and-seven at the 19. Matt Prater made a 37-yard field goal to give the Lions a 23-17 lead with 8:25 left in the third quarter.
