If there Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford was negatively effected by his benching last week, it didn't show on the first drive today.
To start the game against the Bears, Stafford went 4-for-5 for 50 yards with a 20-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Lance Moore as the Lions grabbed a 7-0 lead with 9:29 left in the first quarter.
The Lions had lots of contributions on the opening drive. Running back Ameer Abdullah had three carries for 16 yards, receiver Golden Tate added a 22-yard catch with a great move along the sideline and the offensive line gave Stafford plenty of time.
