Thomas takes it on on reverse
Knile Davis set K.C. up nicely with a kickoff return out to the 44, and his team took advantage as the Chiefs capped a 9-play drive with a reverse to De'Anthony Thomas, who scored from 10 yards out to give his team an early 7-3 advantage with 4:07 to play in the first quarter.
The Lions forced K.C. into two third down situations on that drive, but both times Alex Smith found his All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce for a first down. The Lions are going to see a lot of Kelce today, so they're going to have to do a better job at covering the middle of the field.
