The Detroit Lions will introduce new head coach Matt Patricia on Wednesday at 3 p.m.
Patricia spent 14 seasons with the New England Patriots (2004-17), working with Lions general manager Bob Quinn for 12 years.
He spent the past six seasons as the Patriots' defensive coordinator, winning two Super Bowls.
His defense allowed 41 points in Sunday's Super Bowl LII defeat to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Lions fired Jim Caldwell after a 9-7 season. In four years in Detroit, Caldwell went 36-28 and 0-2 in the playoffs.
