Live blog: Eagles claw back, cut Lions' lead to 21-17

Well, that escalated quickly.

A Matthew Stafford fumble gave the Eagles the ball at the Lions’ 16-yard line and the Eagles took advantage of the short field, tacking on a Caleb Sturgis 33-yard field goal to cut the Lions’ lead to 21-20 with 6:47 left in the third.

On the Lions’ previous possession, Stafford was sacked for a 1-yard loss by defensive tackle Bennie Logan and an unsportsmanlike conduct on Anquan Boldin pushed the Lions in a second-and-24 at their 12.

On the next play, Stafford scrambled and tried to avoid another sack but lost the ball, which was recovered by the Eagles linebacker Nigel Bradham at the 16.
