The Lions drive stalled when Matt Stafford was called for intentional grounding, but that may not be the biggest thing Lions fans have to worry about right now.
At the end of the second quarter, Stafford put a glove on his throwing hand and handed the ball off on third and long. After a Sam Martin punt pinned the Bears deep, the broadcast showed Stafford being checked out by the training staff on the sideline.
Chicago takes the early lead
Jordan Howard reeled of a 28-yard run to get the Bears into Lions territory, but back-to-back offensive penalties put Chicago behind the chains and forced a 38-yard field attempt from Connor Barth that gives Chicago an early 3-0 lead with 1:32 left to play in the first quarter.
