Lions' Jim Caldwell says he doesn't wish he changed OC sooner

ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- The Detroit Lions have won three straight games and have shown improvement on offense, but head coach Jim Caldwell said Monday he does not wish he switched offensive coordinators sooner.

The Lions fired Joe Lombardi on Oct. 26, a day after dropping to 1-6 following a loss to the Vikings and a few hours before the team boarded a plane to London for a game against the Chiefs. Caldwell promoted quarterbacks coach Jim Bob Cooter to replace Lombardi and the Lions have gone 3-1 since.

“No, probably the simplest way,” Caldwell said.
