Had anyone wandered into the Detroit Lions’ running back room this offseason, they would have gotten a glimpse of Zach Zenner’s beautiful mind.
Zenner, entering his fifth season as a Lions running back, turned the position room into his own personal study hall this spring as he prepared to take the Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) in March.
He spent up to six days a week at the practice facility studying for the exam, taking mock tests and scribbling notes across the room’s whiteboards like he was Russell Crowe portraying John Nash on the big screen.
“Oh, I was drawing,” Zenner said.
