ALLEN PARK -- Marvin Jones has been singing since he was bumping church tunes at 4 years old. And he's good too. Not have-three-drinks-and-sing-karaoke good either.
Like, has-his-own-studio good.
And now he's about to show the world.
The Detroit Lions receiver has never published any of his songs, but agreed recently to sing for the folks from "American Idol" in a segment that is set to air sometime Sunday on ESPN.
"It's funny, I've been in the league six years and there's people who still don't know I can sing," Jones said. "That's me. I've never really put myself out there like that -- only when people were nagging me to do it.
