Free Press sports writer Carlos Monarrez answers three questions after the Detroit Lions' 20-19 win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday at Ford Field:
Did coach Matt Patricia and general manager Bob Quinn not get my memo? Did they not read my column Sunday morning? The Lions are supposed to be tanking in order to move up the draft board. Instead, the Lions “improved” to 4-6. Yippee! Hooray! But the victory is entirely meaningless. Yes, I get it. It feels good. It stopped a three-game losing streak. But you have to look at the big picture.
