If there was any doubt that the Detroit Lions would alter their plans for first-round draft pick Frank Ragnow during training camp, the team pretty much put those to bed on Thursday as the team opened training camp for veterans.
New offensive line coach Jeff Davidson met with the media Thursday morning and confirmed Ragnow will continue to play left guard.
“He’s been primarily at guard and that is the way we will probably continue to go at this point,” Davidson said, according to Nate Atkins of MLive. ”We’ve kind of liked the direction we’re going with that, but we’re not going to be surprised by guys playing different positions still.
