The Detroit Lions are limping to the finish line both literally and figuratively. With a 5-8 record, their hopes for the postseason are all but gone. And, unfortunately, they may have to play these final three games significantly shorthanded, as well.
Seven players missed Wednesday’s practice completely, while another three were limited, as the team prepares to travel to Tennessee for a bout with the Titans. Chief among those injuries, obviously, is quarterback Matthew Stafford. He did not practice due to a rib injury, but both Stafford and head coach Darrell Bevell provided some hope that he could play on Sunday.
