FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — And the wait goes on.
The Detroit Lions will have to wait two more weeks to officially hire Matt Patricia as their head coach after the New England Patriots rallied from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Jacksonville Jaguars in the AFC championship game on Sunday, 24-20.
Patricia’s defense had its share of struggles early, allowing touchdowns on back-to-back possessions in the second quarter. But Jacksonville managed just two second-half field goals and Tom Brady threw the game-winning 4-yard touchdown pass to Danny Amendola with 2:48 to play.
