Allen Park — Mohammed Seisay was ready to join the Lions for the start of training camp, but before practice begins Monday, the second-year cornerback will be on a different team.
The Lions traded Seisay to the Seahawks for a 2016 sixth-round pick Sunday in a deal that came together within the past 24 hours.
The Lions have yet to confirm the deal and likely won’t until he passes a physical, which will make the trade official. CBS Sports reported the sixth-round pick as the return for Seisay.
For the Lions, the trade could be a boon as Seisay faced long odds of making the roster.
