Bob Quinn completed his first trade as Lions general manager on Monday, making a deal with his former team.
The Lions announced they acquired linebacker Jon Bostic from the Patriots for a conditional seventh-round pick in 2017. Bostic, 25, is familiar with the NFC North as a former second-round pick by Chicago.
In his first two seasons, 2013 and 2014, Bostic was a key contributor for the Bears, posting 57 tackles as a rookie and 84 in his second year. But, when Chicago transitioned to a 3-4 defense in 2015, the team decided to move on from Bostic, trading him to New England for a sixth-round pick last September.
