A painful look back at all the heartache and pain that litters the Detroit Lions' recent history. Kirkland Crawford, Detroit Free Press
Tracy Walker clearly earned the trust of his coaches and the Detroit Lions front office with his play in a part-time role last year.
After the Lions released long-time starter Glover Quin in February, they did little to fill the hole they created, essentially handing the starting job to a second-year player with 267 career snaps under his belt.
But Walker doesn't see it that way.
Though he has taken the majority of first-team reps at the starting safety spot opposite Quandre Diggs this spring, Walker is going about business as if he has to prove himself all over again.
